The aim of The World through Picture Books
project is to create an annotated list of picture books from around the world,
recommended by librarians.
The programme is led by IFLA section Libraries
for Children and Young Adults with support from partners IFLA section Literacy
and Reading and IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People).
All countries are asked to submit ten
favourite children’s picture books, chosen by the librarians in that country,
against agreed criteria (see Introduction [PDF]
)
